Never again spend more than a click matching mesh shape orientation to the bone! Just click a button!
Easy installation
Change the extension to .py if it got converted to .txt during download. Open preferences in Blender 2.8, under addons, click Install and locate the file. Check the checkbox and save preferences so the tool is always there for you :)
How to use
Create a mesh you want to use as a bone shape. Position it where you like. Select the desired bone in pose mode, assign the shape and click Orient Custom Shape.
I recommend keeping "Delete custom original shape" off.

v1_4 - changed warnings into errors, added an error for delta scale factors, fixed a typo that identified as version 0.3 instead of 1.4
