(Meant as a reply to King Rama) I believe the playback showed that Hoshoryu put his fists down and raised them just before Abi hit him, and he kept fighting, so I think it was an edge case where Abi probably started a bit early and very fast, but they judged that fists went down on both sides and the rikishi decided to fight, so no mata...

It makes you wonder, if the ringside judge can call a false start why didn’t they do that for the Abi vs Hoshoryu match….
