1. "Why don't you wait until my brother gets back?"
A friend from college invited me to hang out at his place. I declined at first since he apparently still lives with his family and I figured it'd be awkward, but he kept insisting so I reluctantly agreed. Apparently he's really into interior design and can't help but show it off.
When I arrived, he was nowhere to be found—his older sister answered the door instead. She was beautiful in a way I never could have imagined from that idiot's face. Her outfit was revealing and casually disheveled, and I desperately fought the urge to let my gaze linger.
"He just left to go play pachinko, you know?"
He invited me over and completely forgot about it. I almost let out a big sigh but held back, thinking it would be rude in front of her.
"I'll head back then. Thanks anyway."
Just as I reluctantly started to turn away, she grabbed my shoulder. I flinched and turned around to find her standing right there, smiling gently. A sweet scent wafted through the air, making my head feel hazy.
"Why don't you wait until my brother gets back?"
"...Then I'll do that. Excuse me."
I went up to the living room and made small talk with her. She was kind and beautiful, and just being in front of her felt fulfilling. Why does that guy have such an attractive sister?
This is truly a happy moment. I wish that guy would never come back.

2. (Maybe I'll run into him by chance...)
On my way back from shopping, I changed my usual route. I sat down on a railing near his house, where he's been busy with remote work. It's just an ordinary residential neighborhood, but the fact that he's nearby makes it feel like such a wonderful place.
(Maybe I'll run into him by chance...)
I chuckled to myself, realizing it was an unlikely hope. I'd heard he was swamped, so I'd been considerate and hadn't contacted him. But honestly, the loneliness was getting to me. I sighed and looked up to pull myself together, and then I spotted someone familiar. Messy hair and an all-black sweatsuit. It's far from date-appropriate attire, but that's him.
Before I could even think, I was running. I knew I was being a clingy, annoying girlfriend, but I couldn't stop myself.

3. "Oh... so you're a college student?"
Around the time I was finally getting used to college life, I became friendly with a beautiful, cool older woman who lives in the same apartment building. Though we barely know anything about each other—we just make typical small talk whenever we happen to run into each other.
One early morning, I ran into her with her face flushed. She was obviously drunk, her eyes half-lidded and dreamy. I was flustered by her overflowing sensuality when she noticed me and came over happily.
After some light conversation, the topic became more personal than usual. Our ages, names, what we do day-to-day. She's 24, five years older than me.
Maybe because she was drunk, she kept closing the distance between us, and I looked away in embarrassment. I was thinking stupid thoughts like "Is this what mixers are like?" when I noticed she'd narrowed her eyes and was looking at me as if sizing me up.
"Oh... so you're a college student?"
For some reason, a shiver ran down my spine and I couldn't say anything. I couldn't look away from those eyes that seemed to see right through me. As we continued staring at each other, she grabbed my hand and started walking.
