Got some advice from YouTube, so…
🕑 Added 2024-04-16 21:55:20 +0000 UTCPWL is moving! It’ll now live on its own YouTube channel, where I’ll also upload VA101, VGW101 and maybe some extra dev interviews. Basically a ‘game development podcast channel’… but really mostly just for PWL. I’ll also be unlisting every episode on my main channel - you can still watch them all, you just have to hit the playlists tab to find them.
Sharing here just in case you’d like to be one of the show’s first subscribers and get all the bragging rights that come with ‘I was here before 100!!!’ or whatever :P. We’ll be making the change next week!
For reference, this is because my main channel content is currently doing very well in terms of views, and PWL is getting about the same views as always. This huge disparity causes the algorithm to go “this specifically must be bad content that people don’t want to watch, I shouldn’t promote it!!!” Basically meaning the show isn’t being pushed to new people (or even some of our existing audience) anymore. New channel may help it actually grow (not that we care really tbh) but moreso should ensure it’s shown to the right people/fans of the show. I also feel like it’ll be better for the people who like the show but don’t like the rest of my content lol, I’m sure that’s a significant amount of people.

Kinda hate the Algorithm Antics that forces people to do these things, but let's hope it does actually work for promotion!
