I have teased the idea of a Sweet Thai chili chicken for a while, so let me explain why it's taken so long.
If you ever look at a traditional sweet Thai chili sauce, it's extremely high in calories. So getting enough of the chili sauce flavor, without going over 500 calories per serving would be a struggle. Then I found the G Hughes brand. And I usually like his stuff, but his chili sauce was just very sweet in my opinion.
So after two failed attempts at getting the sauce right, I stumbled across these seasoning packets. I tried to use them and they were just so salty. Another failed attempt. Then I finally had the idea of combining the sauce that was too sweet, with the seasoning that was too salty, and we have lift off! :)
With all that said, I hope that everybody that tries this combination of sauce and seasoning enjoys it as much as I did. If you do try it, please be sure to come back and give me your honest opinion.

My husband couldn't handle it but he doesn't do well with spice. I thought it had a nice kick but nothing too hot!
Has anyone tried making this in a crockpot?

For people that have made this, is it spicy?
