Brothers or Boyfriends: Chapter 4

He belched again and then took another bite. He was standing alone in the kitchen at two in the afternoon shoving food into his mouth while his family was in the living room. They had just gotten back from a big lunch, but that didn’t matter to Kenneth. He could no longer stand being in the presence of Jude without having the older man’s affection. It was driving him crazy. The only thing that helped was stuffing himself with food and alcohol.
This had been going on for the past several days since his family arrived in town. He didn’t know why he was so affected by Jude. He didn’t understand his infatuation, but he couldn’t let it go. The only thing that could numb his mind of the rabid horny fantasies of his sister’s partner was a constant intake of food and booze. He kept a bottle in his room and even started smuggling pies and protein shakes from the grocery store into a bin underneath his bed. Whenever he was left alone he consumed more and more.
On gym days he would lift the heaviest weights he could manage until his body gave out. Once his body felt weak and exasperated, he would leave to the Golden Corral buffet. Green smoothies and grilled chicken had been traded for roast beef drowned in gravy, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, pizza, and whatever other sweet and savory treats he could get his hands on. He ate until he couldn’t.
When Kenneth looked in the mirror he barely recognized himself. He was permanently bloated. The alcohol left his face puffy and shiny. His eyes were dulled with unrequited lust. His belly was a distended semi-circle, so stuffed that it was constantly tight as a drum. He didn’t bother wearing jeans anymore and basically lived in an oversized hoodie, now covered in food stains.
He felt heavy and lethargic at all times, which was perhaps his favorite aspect of being constantly drunk and full. It was numbing. He could take a nap at any time and wake up ready for more. His stomach was always sloshing around. He was gassy and burping all day. He had become a machine of consumption.
Standing in the kitchen, when he could no longer get anything more into his gut, he sighed and decided he would join his family in the living room. He topped off his glass of whiskey and trudged down the hallway. He didn’t see Jude anywhere which was a relief. He sat on the opposite end of the couch as his sister and silently burped.
He could sense he had many eyes on him. He had already received all the comments on his weight, which had become an annual occurrence ever since he started lifting. This year he even got some belly pinches, but he didn’t mind. More than his weight, he could tell they were concerned with his drinking and general detachment.
Moments later Jude entered the room grinning and staring directly at Kenneth. He wore one of his usual flannels but this one looked particularly snug. The buttons were straining and the fabric looked stretched along the sides of his gut. His belly jiggled as he chuckled and he jokingly thanked Kenneth for joining them. There wasn’t much room on the couch as he plopped himself down between Kenneth and his sister. The pressure of bending over sent one of his shirt buttons flying across the room.
“Hah!” Jude cheered. “It’s a sign of a good holiday when your clothes won’t button- isn’t it? Me and this one here,” he slapped his hand down on Kenneth’s thigh, giving it a squeeze, “have been making real pigs of ourselves waiting for you all to arrive. Haven’t we, brother?”
Kenneth looked at Jude strangely and belched.
“There you have it!”
Kenneth was frustrated and overwhelmed. It was true that Jude was the catalyst for the drunken haze of gluttony that he couldn’t snap out of, though he didn’t quite understand why. What was the point? Moreover, why was it a topic of conversation? It didn’t help matters that Jude took up all remaining free space on the couch and the two men were now in full body contact.
Jude’s love handle pressed against the side of Kenneth’s baby belly. It felt warm and comforting and all Kenneth could think about was how supple it felt beneath his bare hands the other night. He longed to sink his fingers into Jude’s gooey sides and wrap his mouth around the man’s heavy cock. Their thighs were fully touching atop the couch and were almost equal in size except Jude’s were obviously wrapped in a layer of cushy dough. Kenneth wanted his face between them.
“I should just unbutton this thing,” Jude announced.
Kenneth watched with hungry eyes as Jude undid the buttons of his shirt and then stretched his undershirt to cover his overhang. He could smell that particular Jude-scented odor the man began emanating late in the afternoon after sweating off and on all day. It was a blend of booze and musk with accents of allspice and sugar. Kenneth felt ravenous. He excused himself and went to his room to take a nap.
A couple hours later a knock at the door awoke him.
“Who is it?” Kenneth croaked.
“Jude.”
“Uh, come in,” Kenneth sat up and tucked his erection away.
Jude shut the door behind him and sat on Kenneth’s bed. He placed a hand on Kenneth’s shoulder and looked the twenty five year old in the eye for several seconds. Kenneth was confused and aroused.
“It’s been a bit weird having the rest of the fam here after so much time alone, hasn’t it?”
Kenneth stared at Jude unsure what to say or where this was leading. He sensed a paternal tone from Jude, but at the same time it seemed like he was hiding something. Kenneth just nodded hazily in agreement.
“I was thinking maybe we should get out tomorrow. Just you and I, you know, bro time. Maybe you can show me around that gym you go to? I could sure use it.”
Kenneth stared at Jude quizzically before answering. “Uh, yeah. Sure, let’s do that. Ten AM?”
“Great,” Jude smiled widely. “By the way,” Jude started and then stopped. An odd silence hung briefly in the air. “I’m glad we got to know one another these past few weeks… Anyway, lookin’ good, brother,” Jude nonchalantly squeezed the bulge of belly fat on Kenneth’s waist before and left the room.
Kenneth’s hand returned to his erection soaked in precum.
