Sileo Debuted Two Years Ago Today!
🕑 Added 2022-06-08 16:30:35 +0000 UTCToday marks the second anniversary of the day Sileo was first unleashed upon the world!
On June 9th 2020, the very first build of Sileo, version 0.10, was uploaded to Itch. This build only contained the first three days of content, and the only characters included were Diego, Axel, Dom, Tai and Lukas (neither Eric nor Kyrex would make their debuts until the very first Patreon update released a week or so later!).
If you're getting a sense of deja vu, that will be because we recently celebrated the day development began. It took less than two months to get that first build assembled, due in part to us basing Sileo on an old prototype I had developed with another team dating back to 2013! While pretty much everything else was scrapped and reworked entirely, the foundation such as the setting, the characters and the basis for the story still bear a strong resemblance to what the prototype contained which allowed us to spend less time hashing out details and more time building that debut release!
Two years on, we've learned and improved so much, and Sileo has become something far more elaborate than we'd ever anticipated. This, of course, is thanks to everyone who has supported us along the way, be it our amazing Patrons who allow us to create Sileo full time, and those of you who have helped spread the word so that Sileo could reach as far and wide as it has! Sileo enjoys thousands of monthly players from all four corners of the globe, and that really is a dream come true!
Of course, we still have so much more in store for you all! The development of Tai's Route is something that has spanned the majority of our time thus far, but we're so close to finally wrapping things up and we have so much planned for those remaining routes, for the various tales, and more besides. We can't wait to show you what we've been cooking up!
Here's to many more years of Sileo!
