Hot take but cats should stay inside. Wild to have a pet unsupervised just roaming around outside, no one would do that with a dog, outdoor cats don't live nearly as long either. Anything could happen to them! Maybe they're not as domesticated as dogs but they aren't wild animals. They also decimate bird populations.

If an updates episode did happen, I would appreciate a comprehensive summary of the original story to understand the update bc I listened to the updates ep ooc and a lot of the stories were a little confusing to follow. A recap with all the most important beats (edits, info, updates) before the newest additions would make sense even to people who don't want to revisit the original

Morgan, as an Adam Sandler Stan, you need to listen to Adam Sandler (interlude) by Jax. I think you’ll love it!!! For the first story, I think OP is wrong. As much as I think indoor/outdoor cats should be illegal bc they destroy the environment and are way more likely to get killed. HOWEVER, if someone owns the cat…it’s their cat. You can’t just get rid of it. And how old is this cat? Is it a kill shelter? What’s the probability this cat will be adopted by someone? The better thing to do would be to use a TNR program to neuter the cat so it stops spraying AND won’t make babies. Or convince the owner to fix the cat.

I beleive that the first guy is NTA. Who keeps their cat inside-outside without a litter box?? I had an inside and outside cat growing up, and we had a litter box inside and outside(in the garage with easy access) for him. And never once did we have an issue with him pooping and peeing outside of those litter boxes. The neighbor was just a lazy cat owner that clearly did not care about their cat, and that cat deserves a home where they do care.

first guy is a justified asshole. the real asshole is a guy who lets his unfixed cat outside. cat owner should’ve been more proactive with protecting his cat. don’t let your pets outside without supervision people. cats are ecoterrorists and destroy environments and wildlife. if you can’t responsibly own an animal, you don’t deserve an animal.

agreed he shouldn’t have taken the cat to the shelter, but what else is he supposed to do? he cant just sit and suffer in his home because his neighbor is an asshole cat owner. you can’t just take someone’s pet, but you can’t just let your pet treat someone’s house like a litter box. he tried talking to the neighbor, literally what would be next?

It’s insane to think that it’s okay to take someone elses cat, what’s wrong with you? The cat didn’t do anything wrong and doesn’t deserve to risk being put down or get adopted by someone who won’t treat it well. To let it go outside without it being fixed is irresponsible but it doesn’t mean it’s not loved and taken care of otherwise.
