RE: The Next Patreon Build Release
🕑 Added 2022-08-31 08:39:34 +0000 UTCHey all. I'm just dropping in to let you know where things are at at this stage and when you can expect the next release.
In my last update, I talked about what's been going on, so I won't go into that again. As things currently stand, I still haven't wrapped up work on any new content yet, so there's nothing to release just yet at least in terms of content. There is enough to release a purely technical update as I have made some improvements and fixed some bugs, in particular, the long-standing issue where a character would appear in the portrait box during transitions has finally been worked around. Alas, due to some of the related changes being quite significant, a good amount of testing is required and as yet, I don't feel comfortable enough has been done. So instead, we'll be targeting September 2nd for this release to help ensure it isn't problematic. Of course, this, unfortunately, means after more than two years, our streak of releasing a build every single month has been broken. Believe me, nobody is more disappointed by that than me... I'm sorry. I've let you all down, and I've let myself down. Nobody is to blame in this but me.
With things how they are, it's tough to put an estimate on when we'll be able to release new content. We'll be aiming to do so as soon as it's ready rather than aiming for some arbitrary date, and of course, our hope is that this comes sooner rather than later, but again, it's tough to say how soon this will be. As mentioned previously, CurryCatz will be visiting me this coming month and I anticipate that working in person might help spur some progress. Thanks so much for your patience thus far. It's coming. I promise.
