Plans for Upcoming Build
🕑 Added 2023-03-26 06:42:05 +0000 UTCHow do you do, fellow kids?
Just dropping in to let you know what we've got in store for you in this forthcoming update, work on which is already underway.
We've decided our priority with this one will be to follow up on the previous build as quickly as we're able what with how long that one took. At this stage, we're aiming for some time in the first (full) week of April for the next update, and this one will be another single-chapter release, this time including 20x2.
Now, 20x2 was a problematic scene in the last update and we had to release it without it. Our plan was to rethink precisely how that chapter would be done before trying it again, and that's exactly what we've done. Our choices were ultimately between slimming it down to the essentials just to get it out of the way, or breaking it up into 2 - 3 different chapters and extending each one accordingly. We've discussed our options and have chosen the latter, which is to say the 20x2 we intend to release in the forthcoming update is only part of what was originally planned for that chapter, but honestly, the original plan felt a lot like trying to cram three chapters into one anyway. This way we can give each moment the time, weight, and artwork it deserves!
Some good news on this note is that while I never fully completed a first pass for the originally planned 20x2, what I already have just so happened to be an exact match for what the new scene is intended to include! Now of course this needs to be expanded and improved to work as a standalone chapter, but it means we already have significant progress on this new sequence which is part of why we're aiming for such a close release date. We've discussed how exactly we're going to expand the scene and in doing so, I had something of a wildcard idea. I presented that to the team and we agreed - so there's going to be a neat little addition to 20x2 on top of what was already planned! What is it, you ask? You'll just have to wait and see... but I hope you've all had your tetanus shots!
With a chunk of the writing work already done, I've also tasked myself with a few additional jobs so that I don't finish too far ahead of CurryCatz. One of these is a continuation of the gallery redesign targeting the backgrounds menu, nothing too exciting, but the other feature I'm hoping to complete is a day selection menu allowing you to skip ahead to days you've already reached - handy for when you don't have a save file in the right spot! Typically, this will require that you've reached the day in question, but we're planning to add a workaround that can be done even with no saves present. We're not yet sure how obfuscated this will be, so stay tuned for details on that.
We've only really started working on Sileo again today so there isn't much to show off just yet. I've been on something of a detox from ADHD meds in the hope that clearing that shit out of my system right just help me get back on the right track, but that aside, myself and Kronos have been terribly busy being menaces and supplexing ganados these last couple of days. Good times! With that said, however, we have implemented one thing worthy of mention already: Eric's sprite has undergone some minor enhancements. He now has nipples courtesy of CurryCatz, and has various minor improvements to his anatomy courtesy of yours truly. His left hand now appears in front of his clothes regardless of what outfit he is wearing as well. Here's a small preview of the improvements.
Anyway, that's everything for the moment. We'll be hard at work getting the next update ready for y'all!
Until next time!

The email showed the old and new sprites reversed for some reason, so I thought you guys took Eric's nips away 😅
