Progress Report
🕑 Added 2023-06-28 21:17:43 +0000 UTCBeen quite the month for distractions, eh? Diablo IV, FFXVI, jeepers! Good news is there is progress to report on, though I wish it included more story progress! That's still a work in progress, but in the meanwhile, here's a few things we've already got up and running.
First of all, we've implemented an updated menu for the character sprite gallery as seen above. The buttons underneath remain the same for now, we'll deal with those in a future update. The new menu contains bigger more visually appealing buttons that offer a nice big view of each character. They're also all height relative now - Tobias looks like a child next to Roo, and Glenn is a mere few inches taller than the mighty Beth! We both know who'd win in a fight too... Beth, obviously. Glenn'd just knock himself out again. The idiot.
We've now got a nice new drawn background for the Woodcrest Steps that appear on Day 15 of Diego's Route and Day 17 of Tai's Route. I'd love to say "one more stock photo in the trash," but that one wasn't actually a stock photo - I took it myself!
In a case of an actual stock photo being thrown in the trash, Logan's House now has a beautiful drawn background as well. There's also a daytime variant for this one, it's not currently used in-game, but can be viewed in the gallery.
We've also made a few other improvements here and there. For instance, did you know Joe was supposed to have glasses? Now I don't know if those have always been missing from his sprite or if that's something that happened in error somewhere along the way, but he'll have his glasses in this next update. Axel's body has also received some further tweaks to make him look more soft like he did before.
All going well, I'll have more exciting updates for you fairly soon, but hopefully this was enough to whet your appetite for now!

Really digging that last line. I actually liked softer Axel, so him getting some of that back is good news (for me, at least!)
