I’ve been experimenting back and forth with this pinup for a while. It’s a simple painting design, but I wanted to get her character design right, her playful smile and her inviting eyes. I guess it’s time to share this one at last. =^_____^=
This painting was directly inspired by one of our polls (E is for Ethnicity), since our last winner, Africa (which brought Shola to this gallery), was recently surpassed by Europe. Some of you might remember Sofia from older posts and stories, but now we got to see her showing her beautiful body in a solo painting.

Hey, Kyro! =^____^= The process is highly dependent on wild intuition, but I usually choose their animal types based on their personalities. The only exception, if I'm not mistaken, was Epona. Her character design (her rough sketches) came first, since I wanted to find a (visual) balance between an Asian woman with a petite body and a huge penis. After some research, a horse penis seemed like a perfect fit. The name came right after, since I already knew the horse goddess Epona and I wanted this character to have a mythological name. The other OCs designs were more personality driven, so there's something very urban about Leto, just like a street dog, while Tallulah has this explorer, borderline masculine nature, just like a sailor (she's both the pirate and the mermaid, I remember having this thought). I'm glad you like this painting. It's a simple concept (visually speaking), like I said, but I wanted to reach that playful face, looking at us, and I think it works. I'm glad you like the story as well! I see Sofia as someone who came to terms with her futanari nature earlier than Epona, so having her horse parts the same color as her skin is a way to state that she has integrated them into who she is. She healed while Epona suffered more as she was growing up. Maybe this is why Sofia chose to be a healer. =^_____^= These characters have lives of their own now, I guess, so all I have to do now is listen to them and turn this material into paintings. Well, well, well, hello there. Just missed the opportunity to be my valentine ;). Impeccable work as always, and this story was particularly good! So she's ready to horse around as well. How do you go about choosing their animal type? Are there connections, or a grander scheme, kindred spirit, or just coincidence? Always love seeing your work Q!
