[Extra] Watering
🕑 Added 2020-07-16 05:55:44 +0000 UTCThere’s a small passage, in the farm, that most people miss when they visit it for the first time. You’d miss it too. It goes from the back of the barn to the top of a mound that’s behind it. Years ago, Epona used to walk on its stepping stones and climb her way to the top. There’s a large rock there where you can sit and watch the sunrise. Mrs. Sato, Epona’s mom, knew how her daughter loved to spend time there and built a small garden next to the rock.
What her mom didn’t know was that she went to the mound because of the extra privacy she had there. She never needed to refrain from moaning there, for instance, and after climaxing she could clean herself right there, put on her clothes again and return to the house, like nothing happened.
It took some time until Hitoshi, her dad, found out what it was all about. We both know it’s not easy to grow up as a herm, but her dad made sure that she would have it even harder than usual. She felt he was always watching, lurking, even. Men change when they find out about it, they want to control it somehow, and her dad was no different. He didn’t want her to touch herself in any way, especially the way she liked the most.
One morning, when her dad didn’t find her in the house, he went straight to the mound and caught her in the act. What did he expect? She had just come in her own mouth when he stood in front of her. When she saw him, she choked, and her eyes were full of tears. What was he thinking? She told him she was a grown up already, a woman, and that she’d eventually date someone, and fuck someone, if she wanted. What would he do then? What!? He didn’t say a word. He tried, stuttered, but she stopped him.
Their relationship was never the same after that, but it got significantly better as the years passed. She had her own place now, in Rio, and she had all the privacy she needed in the main house after that, even when her parents were home, and awake. Even so, she never really stopped going to the mound to watch the sunrise, water the garden, and lick her wounds. Not just her wounds, of course.

Watering is one of those paintings I revisited over and over again. I should’ve posted it as an extra painting long ago (a slightly older version of Epona’s face in it even made it to our Patreon banner!), but for some reason another painting, or sketch, ended up being posted instead. In a way, it’s a good thing that this happened. Earlier today I opened the file and spotted many regions that I wanted to see changed (sometimes it takes a couple of weeks until some mistakes become crystal clear). Local colors and skin texture were modified. Her body and some of her face were repainted, so that this final version, for the first time, looks balanced. I hope you like it!

Man... Yes. This has been a recurring theme for her, since her first stories, a couple of years ago: feeling ashamed in one way or another, being bullied, needing to hide, and the list goes on. Her personal story arc is all about overcoming these past experiences at an emotional level (Leto's story, on the other hand, is more about survival, plain and simple, which made her tougher than Epona, but also more defensive). Someone once asked me about these themes in their pasts, and then I realized that the world they live in isn't friendly towards futanari, so each one of the girls dealt with it in a different way. Being together, for them, besides all the sexual tensions, is also about being in a safe environment, and being accepted for who they are. I think of it more as a background noise that's always there in their world. It doesn't get much darker than this, I promise. =^_____^=
