Kokeshi
Man, the nuts on this thing would make a Kinstal jealous. Not that I am, of course, I'm packing way more heat. It's kind of weird that they have parts anyway, they don't exactly bump uglies. These things just kind of walk around and live to be creepy. They don't eat or drink either, they just stare at you. And make fake noises at you.
So typically, getting trampled by one of these things is the least of your worries. They have weird witch powers that let them lift people and things. Which, they usually just throw at you. You'll get beaned in the head with a rock and you're down in seconds. Or they'll throw your buddy at you and laugh.
Stahl's Notes
Nobody is doubting your masculinity, Bannock. And actually, Kokeshi CAN breed. The only part of the body that is nonliving is the torso and head. Everything else is a repurposed Nalanjho body. In essence, it's a puppet that controls an otherwise completely biological creature and has forcibly altered its appearance and mechanisms to suit it's desires.
Records from the Magisters' Union state that an unaffiliated Scavenger created the first Kokeshi for unknown purposes. It became jealous of its creator's prized steed, and killed, subsuming its body for itself. When its master was horrified, it killed them as well, and has roamed the wilderness ever since.
They will typically court and mate with regular Nalanjho, which will eventually give birth to a new Kokeshi. What we still don't understand is where the wood and pulp that makes up the puppet comes from when this occurs.
