I'm starting off the year with somethings super chill and vibey accompanied by some piano. I spent much of the session experimenting with a new plugin - Life by XLN audio. It lets you record 15 second clips from your phone and about 75% of the drums you hear in this are either foley samples I recorded on my holiday trip or noises I made with my mouth. I am looking forward to experimenting more because I really like how this idea came together!
I am on the fence about the vocal here - it definitely fits the vibe of the song, but I'm not sure if it would be stronger without. That said, I can definitely see myself returning to this one for sure.
What do you think? Is this song a good idea? Do you like the vocals? And would you like to see me experiment more with new plugins? - Let me know in the comments below!
Download is attached and the WIP Archive has been updated. I've also included the instrumental version in case you're interested in that version.
Thank you for supporting me on Patreon in 2023. I'm looking forward to a great 2024 and I hope you are too! Have a great week and I'll see you tomorrow on stream!
