And to explain the switch: basically vampires have the ability to « turn off their emotions » feel, absolutely NOTHING, no happiness, no sadness, no guilt, no remorse…etc, they can still feel physical pain and stuff, but everything related to feelings is nonexistent, like Isobel for instance , she’s a great example of a vampire that shut of her feelings, her eyes are empty, nothing seems to move her at all, then can switch it back on too, or sometimes when something is too intense feelings can still appear for a second if the vampire allows it (like when Isobel said goodbye to Rick and made him forget and move on, she allowed herself to feel, that specific moment, feel guilt, love, regret)

Just to clarify, Jeremy DOES NOT remember anything, the compulsion did work and it can never be undone , he only knows because he read Elena’s diary, so he know but doesn’t have the ability to actually remember or really feel how he felt because he was compelled not to really care that’s why he is upset because he can never get the real feeling back, the fact that he « knew » about vampires has nothing to do with remembering anything or Damon not doing his mission right at all, it’s only because he isn’t dumb and started sticking the pieces together so he researched (Anna’s presence also helped in a way because he saw some creepy stuff with her) and when he read the diary everything was much clearer and made sense but that doesn’t mean he remembers. And yes when Jenna opened the door she said « you should come inside »

I like Damon and all but you guys really be justifying him with the whole stefan "forced" him to turn thing....that doesn't justify the years of reveling in murdering innocents for fun that he did. Did we forget how the show even start out? Is it a surprise that the few moments of goodness that damon shows, the other characters are not reciprocal/trusting of that? Also If he really didn't want to be a vampire anymore, a simple stake to the heart anytime could have fixed that easily but no....so its not like stefan really locked him in to be a vampire forever that he cant do anything about it if he wanted to

This ep was perfect except all the Bonnie parts (except Damon’s thank you) right now is where I started and never stopped hating Bonnie “Oh I’m so powerful.” Blah blah blah Her superiority complex is beyond annoying.
