🕑 Added 2023-12-07 00:27:08 +0000 UTCFriends:
It's been a long road, but we've finished our first ever Patron Scholarship! In today's exclusive video, I award the grants to eight dedicated students of the craft.
Please join me in congratulating the recipients. Everyone who applies was very deserving and my only regret is that we didn't have any more money to give.
Thanks to everyone who participated in any way. You are all appreciated.

Congratulations to all of the winners! I appreciate that you judges considered a wide variety of woodworking persuits and motivations. I'm sure that made it difficult to evaluate the applications.

Congratulations to the winners. Better luck next time to the others. @Rex, I have three thoughts to share. 1) I have worked on scholarships like this before and it is hard. I'm willing to help with the process. 2) Those emails from tool makers. If you use gmail, I can share a script that will take care of them politely once a day... but, 3) consider this: "Dear tool vendor, I am sorry, I don't do sponsorships or endorse tools, but I do have an annual scholarship that you might be interested in. There are three levels of vendor participation. Level 1. For $5,000 the scholarship is named for you for 2 years. Level 2. For $2,000 you will get 100 words of your choosing on the scholarship application, where you can advertise your tools. Level 3 For $1,000 you get 50 words on the scholarship application. If you're interested in donating tools, we will pass them on to scholarship applicants who are runners up.

Congrats to all the winners. And thank you to Rex and all the judges. If there is anything I can do to help this happen again, let me know. I have experience working with non-profits and event planning.
