Free Plans: Two Traditional Sawbenches
🕑 Added 2023-10-10 16:00:08 +0000 UTCFriends:
We're really happy to deliver this huge, 32-page set of plans for FREE! It's the least we can do for our amazing audience. The build video is nearly done. It will be a long one with Patron Tips just for this community. Look for that on Saturday.
I think the scholarship applications will open tomorrow. We're just about done with the entry form and the final fundraising numbers. Spoiler: we did really well and we're going to give away a lot of money.
Your free plans are attached to this post and you can also find them on the Plans Archive, where you will also find every single plan I've ever done, also free.
See you tomorrow!

What kind of work holding can be done on this other than sitting/kneeling on it? Would adding the motrice or plane-stop holes in the lightweight traveler's bench cause any issues?

I went searching on the web for videos of techniques to use a sawbench to rip wood. Surprisingly I found more plans to build sawbenches than descriptions of how to use them

Great sunrising in IL, Rex thank you for your dedication and keeping this going , as it is my vision to woodwork off the grid as much as possible, this is Awesome!! an upgrade from Roman Bench, which one anyone recommends to build first? I have limited space I see the legs expand in different directions one looks like a regular sawhorse.

Good catch! We're fixing that now.
