Early Access Video: Making Chair Posts

We're back to work on the Alexander chair! Rob and I tackled the rear posts and we're getting ready to build a steam-box and get bending! We're really into the interesting parts of the build.
We had a minor audio hiccup, but Nate saved the day with....well you'll see. It's a nice touch and adds a little humor to the build.
As usual this niche build would never be possible without your support and we can't wait to bring you more of this story as the chair comes together.
Happy Saturday!

Rob really knows how to communicate this stuff. He's a good teacher.

Yeah, Nate really saved me. Again.

I'll tell him you said so!

It's a whole new way of working wood. It's got fewer rules, but more challenges.

You know, I just can't quite figure these things out. I can use them, but I've seen people get such excellent results with bow saws. I'm not quite there yet. That's why I have so many.

We're going to make it from PVC, so it's going to be a cheap and easy build.

So looking forward to the steam box! Something I've been wanting to do for around 4 years now...

Think you got enough frame saws, Rex? j/k You can never have too many saws.

Nice work covering their backs, Nate. It continues to amaze me how much these chairs are hand sculpted as opposed to machined like so many of today's chairs. Thank you Rex and Rob for today's video.

So neat. Loved the sculpting concept. Great job Nate!
