Billing paused for a month!
🕑 Added 2025-02-24 17:23:51 +0000 UTCHey all! Just a heads up that I'm pausing billing for the next month. Life and work has really gotten in the way of my animation time recently, and I've just found out I've got some unexpected business trips coming up too. I've been feeling a little bad about the speed of releases lately, and don't want to be charging while I'm physically unable to continue on the animations you guys are waiting for due to being away. I don't expect this to be a common occurence, and I hope to speed things up ASAP! But for this month at least I'll be a bit more relaxed knowing that billing is paused. Thanks for all the support as always!
Update: I am back from these business trips abroad! I have one trip to the office tomorrow but will be back in the evening, so I can finally get back onto animation work. Thanks for your patience during these weeks!

real life takes priority, take care! i just subscribed to your patreon and checked out the first video of yours. for now i just have one piece of technical feedback for you to consider once you have some free time (wanted to post it on your discord but i can't type/see contents of most channels there for some reason). you don't want to be using the h264 codec for anything with a resolution higher than 4096x2048, because that's the absolute maximum resolution (for 180 SBS VR videos) at which hardware accelerated GPU decoding will engage on videos encoded with this codec. this means a lot of people are going to have issues with smooth playback of files that don't comply with this limitation. for such videos, you want to use either hevc or av1, both of which can be GPU decode accelerated up to 8192x4096. av1 creates smaller files, but takes longer to encode and it's not as widespread as hevc is. looking forward to your new content, while i endulge in what you already offer :)

Thanks for the support! Sadly my dayjob (which pays the bills of course) requires me to travel occasionally. Up until now I've generally managed to get at least 2 animations done a month around work, but this year my role changed and so far has been crazy 💀 I'm pausing billing because I just found out I'm going to be out of the country from tomorrow, and there's another trip next week, which sucks as I was planning to finish Luna Snow tonight and get the VR version rendered over the weekend 😭 Basically, progress is going to be very slow over the next two weeks (hence the billing pause), but after that I don't have any *planned* travel until the end of April, meaning I can knuckle down and hopefully get stuff out quickly during the last half of March and most of April 🤞
