First view on the 70s era Phonodroid model! Plus some talking about stuff.
🕑 Added 2021-03-09 20:16:20 +0000 UTCHello! I'm always nervous showing the first WIPs of stuff ;; especially since there is a lot still left to do on this model, but i wanted to get something out there because its been a long time! Just keep in mind that everything here is subject to change. (and theres no textures, of course, though i am working on those separately too)
I also think I have figured out how I want to release these! I've had like 5 different ideas I've thrown against the wall, but none of them stuck. But I think I've finally found one that I'm happy with and hopefully you all will be too!
My idea is that I will create a Patreon tier around maybe 10 dollars, where patrons in that tier will get the first release of the base model and, later on down the line, extra parts I make for them while they are subscribed! I plan to do optional parts like swappable heads, ears, and other extras and stuff like clothing!
The new part in this though, is that when I feel like I am happy with all of the content released, the model and all of the bonus stuff will be put together in a bundle I can sell as a single release on a service like Gumroad. ( I am still looking into this stuff, as its new to me! ) Pricing for the bundle will probably be calculated by the months i spent working on the model + the extra content, so the overall cost of getting all the content on either service should be very similar, but patrons get the content at a much earlier time + WIP releases + perhaps some Patreon exclusive content :o
Beyond all this, my previous tier stuff still applies to all new tiers, so full rendered art I make will come with 4K versions here, + occasional behind the scenes work. The art archive will stay around in its current form too, though I can not promise it will be updated.
Anyways, thank you all for the support! Now that I've shown the first steps of the base model I'll try to be more open about WIP stuff in the future :p
