Unless the client has specified they want the work to be private it's fair use on my behalf. In this case the client hasn't hinted or asked for it to be his eyes only

Normally, I'd say it's your work, so it is entirely up to you to decide what you want to do with it. For commissions, it really depends on what agreement you came up with. Did you talk about who has intellectual ownership of it?

With all of the time and effort you have put into this, you should not be asking if it should be made public. Instead you should have offered a teaser trailer to get people to sign up for your Patreon
