It's quite close to the south-eastern border. The Eastern Fringe as in the extreme east of the Imperium? Not so much.

Separate thing I remembered Nyx is quite close relatively to the eastern fringe where the Tyranids were first spotted and where the first invasion came from in the main timeline

Very interesting. The forces of Chaos are showing why they are so feared, but the King in Yellow isn't down and out yet. Only the outer defenses have been breached; there are still a lot of cards to be played on both sides.
