I believe it was the b&t rep at shot show 2024 who mentioned b&t had licensed their muzzle device to suppressor interface to surefire decades ago, but not a certain aspect of it on the suppressor side which is why surefire developed their own locking collar. I might be wrong about that.

Not really, there are other qd systems that are all better than use the surefire muzzle devices… and a louder can (by a noticeable margin) isn’t worth buying. Also Hux is not the only ones making duty grade 556 cans…. The CAT WB 718 is as strong or stronger than most out there…. And is quieter at the same side of the flow 556k while performing as good or better than legitimate full size 556 cans… there are many options. Rc2 is a solid can but the rc3 was an absolute bust imo and at street prices of 1500-1600 it’s a no go

I have had multiple rifle suppressors including offerings from Surefire, Deadair, OSS/Huxwrx, CMMG, and Griffin. Of the bunch of them, the one that has the most rounds through it with the least amount of problems is the RC2. To give surefire credit they are proverbial tanks.

Now that you’ve tested the RC3 and the flow 556k, which would you say performs better in signature reduction and sound at the shooters ear? (I know it’s a bit of apples to oranges as one is a K and the other is full length)

I think it is worth it if you already own Surefire cans and possess plenty of rifles with SOCOM 3-4 prong flash hiders. Less gas to the face on an AR-15 SBR? Sign me up. I am not a huge fan of HUB adapter cans because they can become loose during a range session. DeadAir has not been doing well as of late, KAC had a product recall with their new cans, which only leaves HUX-WRX left as a “duty” grade 5.56 can. The new B&T suppressors seem promising though.

I’m thinking of a new can to go on my 11.5 SBR, never been a Surefire fanboy, so what are the two other cans you would buy for the RC3 price @Aaron?

They are the equivalent to Glock. Little innovation/change and riding on the merit of their past successes. That being said I’d rather get a hux, desdair or even a lahar30. Side note I am looking to get a 30cal can y’all give me any recommendations?

Lets be 100, that suppressor isnt worth shit. Nobody can convince me that thing is even worth $1000 let alone 2k after everything is said and done. I also abhor when Surefire's d suckers say "Its marketed for military use". Yeah ok, they didn't last this long as a company only creating MIL/LE suppressors. If that was the case, they'd never release it to the commercial market. Marginal differences between the RC2. Its 2024. There are cans dumping on this.
