So I put an Overwatch Precision (with competition sear) on my M&P Competitor. A guy I was shooting with on Saturday (lvl 2 USPSA match) was running an Apex on his M&P. I've got to be honest, I like my OP trigger a wee bit more than the Apex (my reset is a little more crisp), but either are good options. I've totally fallen in love with the Competitor as a competition gun, and am trying to resist the temptation to buy the Metal Carry Comp for a new carry gun. I'm sure I'll fail that challenge soon...

Chris Jenkins

agreed. I started my firearms journey with an m&p. their latest offerings have been pretty bland though, until the metal series.

far and away the best firearms content on the web; grateful for your time and energy……carry on, young man - very well done

I have been waiting for this since you mentioned you really liked this piece a month or so ago in a class. I've ordered the competitor which I don't have my hands on yet. If I like it, I'm definitely buying this one next for concealed carry. I love the idea of a ported gun where the rifling ends early. I don't mind loosing 100fps for a reliable, integrally comped pistol. Gracias Aaron! --PS: Any chance you test out one of the Overwatch Precision triggers in this? I know you have a relationship with Agency, so I'm not sure if that conflicts, but I have OP triggers in my PDP and Glocks and I love them.

You should get an Apex Flat Faced Trigger kit on M&P 2.0s! If you want to go a step further, add on an Agency M&P 2.0 trigger shoe on polymer models!

These Carry Comp guns are begging for somebody like Monsoon Tactical to add a couple inline ports to.

Josh Hood

What height Dawsons did you go with for it? Really thinking about picking one of these up.

Jesse Blankenship

These new models have me wanting to try s&w again

@sagedynamics - What was the key to (relatively) painless sight switching/zeroing on your M&P's? Agree that Glock is the best balance of being mounted firmly while remaining removable that I've experienced, and S&W can be a bit over the top snug. Trying to zero a Bodyguard 2.0 and not mar or damage the sights or slide. I can't get the front or rear to budge, and I'm very experienced with things like that. PS Long-time follower on YT and made the move here with you. Thanks for all you do!

I absolutely LOVE mine. I steered clear of Smith and Wesson for a couple years because their guns never looked good to me and some questionable political moves they’ve made (PB shit 👎🏾), but this is probably one of my favorite guns in the collection. Slapped a KC Dog Tag on mine as well and it is just a divine shooter. Gonna put more rounds through it over the weekend but for anyone on the fence, BUY ONE.

Calculated Kinetics

Glad the DOGTAGs are working out. Definitely on the hunt for a Metal Carry Comp and dreading the iron sights surgery.

Damn. I didnt need to watch that video. Now I have to go and get one. Thanks a lot. 😂
