For my 6000 series Safariland for a Glock 34 the XL will not fit.

Very encouraging. Lot of hype on this bad boy, good to see its finally justified. I had a vortex sponsorship back in 2015/16 and tried all their pistol dots...and broke enough of them to fill a shoe box. Glad to see they've finally evolved into something that can really contend with the SRO and the 507comp.

I like my Defender ST, however after 3 months on higher settings, I replaced the dead battery. After installing the new battery the dot flickers if I tap the optic, and shuts off momentarily when I dry fire. Which is suboptimal because it's on my carry gun.

Good review as always. I picked up a Defender ST based on your review of that optic. The only negative I have on the ST, and I bring this up because you mention it might happen in this review, is that I have bumped the brightness controls on my Safariland 6000 series holster. Not the end of the world as I can lock the brightness. Unfortunately, locking out the buttons also disables the motion activation/auto shut off.

Side bar and I know you don't like choices because you can have both but I always wonder if you could only have one type of pistol what would it be. Striker fired or hammer fired?
