Billy: Chapter 2
🕑 Added 2020-04-27 19:25:48 +0000 UTCAn hour later we are cleaned up and chilling in our dining room. Sitting side by side we watch the pink-orange light of sunset fading in the West, the warm ruddy glow of the setting sun matching our own fuzzy afterglow. We each held a glass of Shiraz in one hand as hold hands with the other. The deck door is open with the screen closed allowing the evening air to waft over us without letting in the mosquitoes and black flies. Jessica had on a sexy deep red satin and lace camisole nightie that barely covered her peach of an ass along with a matching pair of panties while I had just thrown on a pair of boxers and a loose cotton t shirt.
The sweet aroma of Jessica's flourishing and painstakingly manicured flower garden that took up most of our yard wafts in with the warm midsummer breeze. Jess, being a teacher, had her summers to pursue her gardening hobby. Our lush colorful yard was the envy of the neighborhood.
"Mmmm." She hums contentedly as she lazily swirls her wine.
I look over to the younger woman who had so effortlessly claimed my heart those years ago. She is aglow with both the soft illumination of sundown as well as an inner light all her own. The afterglow of our sex, the warm gentle breeze, the floral scents, the lovely dusk light, the slight buzz from the wine...everything seemed just...perfect. Life couldn’t get better than this.
I consider seriously popping the question there and then. I didn't even have a ring yet but it just felt like the right time. This was the moment. I turn to look at the girl that I am so madly in love with and nervously take in a deep breath.
"Shit!" A sharp voice from neighbor's yard shatters our idyllic peace. "Piece of junk!" The sounds of rough clanking and rattling soon follow. "Come on you...grrr! Ouch! Son of a...!"
It is Billy, the boy next door.
For an instant I am pissed at the very unwelcome interruption, but then I find I am actually thankful for it. I remind myself that I wanted the moment I popped the big question to be a special one. Something outrageous. Something romantic. And with a big glittering ring to seal the deal. The mood ruining griping from across the fence couldn't have come at a better time.
"Gah!" He says with exasperation. There is a cacophonous crash of tin, metal, plastic, and wood. "There ya go! Ha ha!" Whatever it is that he’s doing he seemed to have come out victorious.
Jess and I look at each other and chuckle. Standing as one we step up to the deck window to see what is happening next door, unless Billy happened to look directly at us he probably wouldn't notice us in the darkened house. He had just pulled the lawn mower out from the over crowded shed in the back corner of his parent's yard. The clamor had been him impatiently trying to yank the machine free without actually moving anything out of the way. He had it out now and is currently checking the old mower over.
Looking at the mess strewn about in the shed that he'd left in the mower's wake I shake my head. "Stupid kid."
Jess continues to chuckle and slides her arm around my torso, pressing her five foot three inch frame into my side. I rest my arm around her shoulders.
Billy was the neighbor's kid. Not quite 19 years old he still lived at home though was planning to move out this fall. Right now he was the only one staying in the house as his parents had taken off for a month long cruise as they did every summer.
Standing a few inches taller than me now and having filled out into a lean swimmer's build like his father Billy was a far cry from the scrawny 14 year old boy I'd met when I moved into this house. He had longish wavy blond hair and a striking pair of sky blue eyes. At the moment he wore a knee length pair of grey board shorts, a loose fitting sleeveless blue t shirt, and a pair of flip-flops.
I never interacted with him much in his youth but over the course of the previous year the pair of us had become friends. After high school the lad was desperate to be out of the classroom, more schooling was the last thing he wanted. His parents were not happy about it but he sold them on the idea of him just taking a break from studies while he discovered what he truly wanted to do. It wasn't long after his graduation that a mail clerk position came up at my office. It paid for shit but it was an easy job, a trained monkey could do it. Knowing of Billy's situation I did the neighborly thing and pulled some strings and got him the job. Billy assured his parents he'd only work a year or two then go back to school. I wasn't so sure.
Taking him under my wing I showed him the ropes around the office and became something of a mentor to him. He was funny and personable and fun to goad, just one of those people that was enjoyable to be around, and before long we were spending our lunch breaks together. Recently I'd even brought him into the poker game me and my college buddies still played every second Wednesday. With twelve years between us our friendship was an odd one but I liked the boy.
As we stand watching our teen neighbor fiddle with something on the wheel of the mower Jessica begins to giggle anew. The giggle quickly turns into full on laughter and she turns to bury her face in my chest.
"What's so funny?" I ask.
"Just something that happened yesterday." She waves then her hand and tries to drop it. "Nothing. It was nothing. He he he!"
I smile and start to laugh along without knowing why. "No, come on. Tell me."
I notice a touch of a blush color her cheeks. "It's uh...he he he...Billy...uh...he he he!"
"What?" I press. "What about Billy?"
She looks up at me. "Did you know Billy likes to suntan in the buff?"
"What!?" I exclaim too loudly.
Billy's head snaps up and looks around his yard. Not seeing anything he returns to what he was doing.
"What?" I hiss in loud whisper. “How do you know that?”
She gives me a look that told me she had seen something she shouldn’t have.
"You saw him nude?"
Jessica gives me a guilty grin and nods.
"He just laid there naked while you casually leered at him from the deck?" I ask. The high deck in front of was really the only place you could see easily over the high fence separating the yards.
She laughs. "No silly, of course not. I was in the garden deadheading, no music or anything. The car was in the garage. He didn't even know I was home. He has no idea I saw him."
"If you were in the garden...how...did you see him?"
Her blush deepens. "I heard him over there and...I took a little peek. Through the knothole behind the Laurel." She then hurries to explain. "I was right there and...well, I didn't know he was naked when I peeked! Give me a break." She chuckles, embarrassed just remembering it. "He just laid there. Drinking beer, listening to music, and getting a tan. Totally nude." She lowers her voice as if someone might hear a dirty secret. "He shaves. All of it. His whole body. Smooth as baby's ass."
The thought of my girl ogling the fit young Billy ignited some very...interesting…feelings inside of me.
"Wait? Yesterday?" I bristle. "He called in sick yesterday. Little shit."
She titters. "Well...he certainly didn't look sick. Looked in tip top shape from what I saw. And he didn’t look little either."
“What!? You didn’t…” My mouth getting ahead of my better judgment I blurt out the first and foremost question in my mind. "Was he really that big?"
This sets Jessica off on another laughing fit. “I didn’t mean his dick! Ha ha ha! Oh my god.” She slaps my chest. “I mean him silly, his body. He’s all grown up now. Taller than you.” She looks at me with a playful spark in her eyes. “I couldn’t get a look at his thing. Well…just a little glimpse but, not a good look. The damned arm of the deck chair blocked my view.” She was studying me closely and enjoying my squirming as she answered. “Was he that big? Ha ha ha! What a question.”
I feel my cheeks blush at my embarrassing question. "Blocked your view?" I cock a curious eyebrow. "So you admit you were checking him out then."
"Maybe just a bit. Just a few minutes." She laughs at my disapproving glower. "Come on! Billy’s a hunk. As if you wouldn't check out a hot blonde girl if she was over there with her tits and pussy hanging out."
I don't know what to make of the conflicting feelings roiling inside of me at the thought of my girlfriend checking out the boy next door, a boy she just admitted was "hot" and a “hunk”, but in the end I have to admit I would have done the same.
"Yeah, you got me there." I force a chuckle and try to shrug it off. "I can't deny it. No harm in looking I suppose."
"Exactly." She smiles. “You’re jealous.”
“No I’m not.” I grumble defensively.
“Yes you are! Ha!” She rises to her tip toes and kisses my cheek. “You are adorable when you’re jealous.”
“And you are a Peeping Tom!” I tease right back. “Honestly, spying on the neighbor kid like a perv. You are terrible.”
She smiles proudly. “The worst.”
"Come on you piece of... Come on!" After another round of griping from across the fence as Billy tries to pull start the old motor. After a few more tries and a lot more complaining the mower finally roars to life. Making a few more adjustments Billy straightens up and begins to mow his back lawn.
"I wonder if he's a virgin." Jess says out of nowhere to break our silence. "I never see him with any girls. He's such a sweet kid, maybe he's shy around the ladies."
I roll my eyes. To most people, particularly women, Billy presented himself as a earnest wholesome all American boy. But once you got to know him and he was just around "the guys" he revealed his true self. He could joke and banter and tell crude stories as well as any of my other friends. And by the tall tales of sexual exploits he told I was fairly certain the lad was no virgin. His braggadocios stories were obviously the exaggerations of an insecure young man trying to fit in among his elders but I believed them enough to know he had at least some experience with the opposite sex. He wisely chose to keep his activities away from his parent's house.
Jess takes a slow sip then sets down her wine. She looks at me, then looks back out a him. I see that look she gets when she is up to no good. A crooked grin and an impish twinkle in her eye when she was about to be naughty or playful. What was going on in that head of hers?
"Come on." She says. Taking my hand she opens the sliding deck door with the other. "Let's go be neighborly."
"Wait a sec." I protest. She seemed to be forgetting that she is only in skimpy bedroom attire.
Without pausing she steps out onto the deck with me in tow. "Billy!" She waves.
