Final Update: Turning the Page
🕑 Added 2020-10-06 19:20:36 +0000 UTCHello my friends!
As you may have surmised by the title of this post I have decided to close my Patreon.
I feel a bit foolish doing this now as recently we have achieved a new high point for the page, which is very exciting, but after over two and half years I have to admit that I am nowhere close to the goals I had initially set out for myself when I started it. There are many factors to this. My own lack of business savvy, zero skills in self promotion, and limitations as an author being foremost among them. Also, the fact that my content was never a good fit for Patreon's (imo) rather prudish guidelines meant I was quite constrained on what I could do here. There was very little exclusive content or early access I could provide due to the taboo nature of so much of my content. Looking toward the future I do not see it getting any better. I find the ground here is constantly shifting beneath me. The rules and agreements around content, taxes, and a host of other things seem to change on a whim. I feel neither welcome nor comfortable here anymore. Eventually I likely would have been banned from here anyways thanks to nsfw rules creep.
What will the future hold for the Patreon? It won't disappear tomorrow. My plan is to pause it again initially, I believe I can do that for two successive months, and get a bit more content on here for you guys in that time. Once I get to the point I cannot pause it anymore (probably around the end of December) I will “Unlaunch” the page and end it permanently. You shouldn't ever be charged on here again.
And what will the future hold for old Grim? I am honestly not quite sure right now. I hope to release more e-books like Billy: The Boy Next Door and I would also like to explore other avenues for my writing to see where they lead. Perhaps I will look into another subscription model site specifically meant for nsfw content at some point, but not right away. I will always be around Chyoa and Literotica of course, though probably not like I was before. My free stuff will now be purely for enjoyment and experimentation.
I cannot convey to you how much your support has meant to me these past two plus years. You've given me something far more valuable than money or compliments or even inspiration. You've given me hope. Hope that my crazy dream of becoming a professional writer might actually be something I can achieve. The words “thank you” seem insufficient to express my appreciation to each and every one of you but I will say them again anyway. From the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU!
I won't name names, as I am not sure they would be comfortable with that, but I did want to express an extra special bit of gratitude to my biggest Patron. You know who you are. Your generosity is both humbling and deeply inspiring.
I definitely do not consider this Patreon a failure. It is a stepping stone to greater things. I am pretty darned proud of what I was able to achieve here thanks to you folks.
Taking a moment to think back over the past two to three years I cannot help but smile. The sweet love story of Charlie and Jon, still my best work in my opinion. The magic and adventure of The Devlins. Willow and her wasteland angel Gabby. Ted meeting Claire and becoming suddenly daddy to Jeremy and Poppy. Tony and Ashley finding their port in the storm. A date night with mom, a wreckoning, a dungeon, a daddy in the dark, a young bull named Billy, and so many kinky and cucky good times. Last but not least, the Baileys. I don't even know what to say about them. Jesse. Elsie. Fiona. Each name is followed by a flood of emotions. Each of them cracked and damaged, yet it is through these cracks the love can pour out and seep in. Helen. Peggy. Casey. And of course my crazy muse Chloe. All as real to me as flesh and blood people, each of them living inside of me forever.
Yeah, it's been a fucking blast! We've had some fun, shed some tears, enjoyed a few laughs, and hopefully bust a nut or two along the way.
But this isn't a goodbye. I am simply turning the page to a new chapter. I hope this book has a happy ending. I like happy endings.
Take care of yourselves out there. Be safe, be happy, stay kinky, and keep reading.
All my love.

I won't be releasing files or anything. All the content will be here until it isn't. Thank you for your support and your question.

Will the patreon story files be released to current patrons?

Thank you so much. Yeah, if I do this again it will be on a site that specifically caters to kink/nsfw content.

I'm not disappearing. :) Just moving off of Patreon. I'll still be around.

Sorry to see this happen. Honestly I would recommend using a different platform as well. I know I would go over and give you a bit of support!

We wish you the best. I truly hope this isn’t forever. You’re work puts a smile to my face as I get to read an entertainment that can both make me laugh, and cry. ...Thank You
