Lucky Night (Short, Gay)
🕑 Added 2021-12-31 18:48:51 +0000 UTCAnother gay/femboy short so soon? I couldn't help it! 😋 One of you requested another dumb himbo character and in a flash this story popped into my head. As anybody who has read RotL will know I quite like dumb ass protagonists. I don't know why. Kindred spirits perhaps. lol This one is particularly stupid and I love him for it. I hope you enjoy Lucky Night.

I am walking down the dark trash strewn alley on my way home from picking up some midnight munchies. The distance shots ring out and the howl of police sirens fill the cool night air, scary not terribly unusual in this neighborhood. My one arm carries a full bag of snacks and in the other hand swings a box of cheap red wine. With my hands full the ash on my rum dipped cigarillo clamped in my teeth was getting precariously long and the smoke stung my eyes but it was delicious sweet and delicious. A little treat to myself after winning on the scratch ticket I bought earlier in the day. Tonight was my lucky night!
I am nearing the the street when a lithe figure comes sprinting around the corner. She had on a french maid dress of all things, complete with a little frilly apron, with long white stockings up her creamy shapely legs. She had ashy blonde hair, the particular shade of which I had only seen once before in my life on somebody who meant a lot to me. I might have been more struck by that had she not had in her slender hands, the tip glistening a wet crimson red, a growling chainsaw!
I freeze dead in my tracks as she skitters to a stop in front of me. A spray of bright red stains up her otherwise clean maid’s uniform and is spattered across her pretty face as well. Wait…not her, his pretty face. She was a he. He stands panting in front of me as for a moment time stands still as we stare at each other.
I let out a hushed gasp as I see a ghost. “Sacha?”
“Ben?” He says back, equally as stunned as I was. “Benjamin? What…?” He shakes his head, confused. “How…?”
I drop the box of wine. I hastily set down the bag of snacks. And I pull my long lost buddy into a great big bear hug. “Oh my God I’ve missed you!”
His lean body stiffens up and I hear the chainsaw clatter to the ground, the engine sputtering off as it hits pavement. “Ben?” He whispers as he slips his arms around me. “Ben? Is this real?”
I hug him a long, long time as hard I dare. I am fighting tears as I step back from him to look at him once more. In the belt of his apron he had a big chef’s knife and a nickle plated revolver, both glimmering with blotches of scarlett. I had so many questions I didn’t even know where to begin, but more than anything I was just happy to see him.
“Where the hell have you been!? Where did you go!?”
“I…um…I had to go away for awhile.” He mutters, still absolutely dumbstruck by running into me like this. “I stayed…away…”
“Your whole family just disappeared one day. Mom said there was an accident or something.” I say, trying my best to choke back tears. “I heard rumors. I thought…I though maybe…you died. I thought you died.” I pull the cigar from my mouth and wipe my wet eyes. “Damn smoke.” I say to explain my tears, as if I needed to.
“Ben!” At last it seemed to get through to him who I am. His smile lights up the whole gloomy alley. “Oh Ben! What? How? Wh-what are you doing here?”
“I live here!” I say, nodding off in the direction of my place. “I moved to the city for my work. What are you doing here? And what are you doing in that crazy get up!? Ha ha ha! A costume party or something?”
“Yes!” He grabs my hand. “Yes, a costume party. You’re so smart. You figured it out. I was at a costume party. Oh Ben! I just…I can’t believe it’s you!” There were tears in his eyes now too!
“Damn smoke.” I say again as I wipe my sniffling nose and try to maintain my manly composure.
Sacha. It was really him. My closest and dearest friend from childhood. More brother than friend really. Even more than that. There wasn’t a proper word for what he meant to me. Until his disappearance seven years ago we were nearly inseparable. We were a classic case of opposites attracting. I was dumb, he was smart. I was big, he was little. I was happy, he was sullen. I lived for the day, he was always brooding about the future. I was laid back, he was intense. We couldn’t have been more different and yet, for whatever reason, we just clicked. We didn’t understand each other and we didn’t need to. We simply accepted the other for who he was.
“Wow. Look at you!” He smiles as his dancing green eyes pan up and down my muscular body. “You’ve filled out, huh? You look great!”
I chuckle bashfully and flex my arms. “I like lifting things.”
This makes him laugh, music to my ears. In the old days I was the only one who could make him laugh. That always made me feel special.
“You’re looking good too!” I say. Though his frame looked feminine overall, especially in that outfit, I could see the shape of some sleek muscle beneath the softness. “Even in a dress. Ha!”
He grabs my thick arms and squeezes them in a surprisingly strong grip. He studies me closely, even reaching up to touch my stubbly cheek with his cool thin fingertips. “I just can’t…believe it. Ben. It really is you, isn’t it?”
“Yeah.” I chortle. “Who else would I be?”
“It’s…oh…” Blinking rapidly he gives his head a violent shake then suddenly glances back over his shoulder. He then looks down at the snacks and wine at my feet. He steps back, looking ready to dart away. “You have company over? You’re busy. I should go.”
“No!” I exclaim. “No. Don’t go! I won on a ticket today and I was just treating myself. HEY! You wanna come over? I have lots to share. W-we could catch up and hang out…like we used to.”
My heart seizes in my chest as, for a moment, I thought he was about to say no. With desperate pleading eyes I beseech my friend to say yes.
A huge beautiful smile brightens his pretty face. “I would love that!” He giggles. “You always have the best ideas Ben.”
“Aw geez.” I blush. He was the only one to ever talk to me like that. Even my own parents thought I was a dummy. But not Sacha, not once in all of our years had he ever insulted me or belittled me. He always made me feel better about myself. Always. I forgot how nice that was. He even used to joke about torturing and killing anybody who called me those names. Sacha had a weird sense of humor most people didn’t understand, myself included though I didn’t mind. This time I can’t hide the tears streaming down my cheeks. I couldn’t contain the joy I felt in seeing my dearest friend alive and well and in the flesh.
“I missed you.” I blubber. “I missed you Sacha.”
“I missed you too buddy.” He says warmly. On his tip toes he kisses my forehead. Yeah, we kissed sometimes. It was just a thing we did when nobody else was around. We share a quiet moment just staring at each other, the gradually growing sounds of sirens didn’t even phase me. Grabbing his chainsaw off the ground he tugs at my arm. “Come on. Let’s go. I’d like to see your place.”
“Alright!” I cheer.
I put the cigarillo back in my mouth only to have it snatched from me. Sacha takes a draw and slowly lets out the smoke through his glossy pink lips. I’d never seen him in makeup before, it actually suited him even accounting for the fake halloween blood spattered across his face. He flicks the half smoked stogy back down the alley.
“That stuff’ll kill ya.” He winks, the last wisps of smoke still curling from his lips. “And there are better ways to die, trust me.”
“I do trust you.” I say softly. Only now was the hurt starting to hit me. He’d been alive all this time and he hadn’t come found me. Why? Why did he leave me?
Seeming to read my mind he touches my arm. “I’m sorry Ben. It’s…well, it’s a long story.”
I give him a firm nod and tamp down those bad feelings. I did trust him. More than anybody. He had a good reason for his absence. I knew he did. He wouldn’t have left me if he didn’t.
“Come on.” He says. “Let’s hurry.”
We head to the street where Sacha peers right and left before breaking the cover of the alley. At his prodding we walk as fast our feet could carry us down the vacant street and past the rows of tenements to the neighborhood beyond. His urgent steps telling me that he was as excited to hang out again as I am.
I am top of the world. I literally could not remember being happier. All the food I could eat, all the wine I could drink, a day off tomorrow, but most important of all my best friend in the whole wide world walking at my side.
“This really is my lucky night.” I say.
“Mine too buddy.” He says with a grin as I open the door to my tiny old bungalow. With one last glance back the way we came, the subtle blue and red of a police cruiser that had just turned onto this street about four blocks down flickering across his smiling face, he steps through the door and repeats. “Mine too.”
