I'm a new meat bag, my sister intro'd me to the podcast and I've been hooked for like a month now. I've started working backwards and I catch up on new episodes when they come out, but I just reached this episode and I wanted to just reiterate how fucking cool it is that other people have experienced comedy in a way that has changed their life. 16:30 Noel talks about some of the most powerful shit in the world and I just found it super neat to connect with someone else on the strength and power of making fun of shit.

This whole shit is just exhausting. Where did this come from? It pisses me off that all of this virtue signalling is coming from a pretentious and vain human being who is incapable of forming a coherent sentence. I don’t completely disagree with what he’s trying to say, but the fact it’s coming from him and that he doesn’t put forward any evidence to demonstrate it is just lazy and undermines his argument. I’ve been a massive fan of your (Cody’s) commentary videos since the first and only episode of that’s gross with the blowjob robot (and I’m a patron, so I clearly enjoy the TMG humour) but I don’t think it’s entirely true that all the comedy in your videos is in good faith (+ the caveat at the end of the video saying not to go after the person won’t always vindicate the content of the video and stop your fanbase from targeting them). In saying that, that’s an element of what makes it so funny - it’s just a fact of human nature that we enjoy laughing at other people sometimes. So ultimately, I can sort of understand the point he’s trying to make (in its pure form) but the fact that it’s Jake Paul making that argument and the pathetic way in which he confronted you about it just makes me support you more. This cancel culture garbage just needs to end. Don’t acknowledge the video and don’t give him the attention by making a video about the whole thing

It was super hard to watch that Jake Paul video but Jake looks like an idiot. He is trying to stay motivated to keep confronting you but backs down every time you answer him. You can hear his camera man trying to keep the energy going. One of the great things about comedy is the ability to point out harmful aspects of society so that you can hopefully change peoples perspectives on things. The type of content that Jake produces is not beneficial to anybody especially not his younger audiences and pointing out how mindless and devoid of any substance his content is is not bullying, it’s something that needs to be said.
