As much as I criticize FF 10 the way summons are handled is easily my favorite part of the game, and probably the best in the series, though I believe that FF16 will eclipse it soon!

You are right about the setting lol. This is boss fight takes place on a massive floating sword in an alternate dimension. And the Aeons (the summons) come down one by one to fight your party.

(Yay, my 3rd favorite ff again lol) Summons are called Aeons in ffx. Junya compose I think about 20 songs in the game. and if I remembering right was chosen because he would be different than Nobuo but still complement his work
