I am glad you checked out the original one. In my opinion modern remixes dont really do it justice, especially the distant worlds one (which u listened to first).

It's actually a shame the rules on the channel exclude asking for remixes and fansongs. I think out of any of them Hyadain's work should be the most qualified as an exception. After all, the stuff he did was fan made when he posted it, but now he's officially in FFXIV for real. My book says that makes him retroactively canon. =)

I believe the reason it is not simply called Battle with the four fiends is because this song exists in ff14 in the form of multiple remixes. A whopping 3 of them I believe, and they can't call them all the same song title of course.

yes! that's a great remake! to help you understand context, that boss is one of the four fiends, and is related to the fire element, so I guess that's why "the crimson" title

This was arranged by Kenichi Maeyamada (aka Hyadain,) who was originally popular for fan-made arrangements. He also already had a fan version for four friends that is similar to this one. I'm sure others will give you essays about this
