Understand Structure to Understand Value

Suggested Homework:
Do basic construction models of heads using the reference portfolio provided below. Sometimes, draw them in boxier design, sometime draw them in an egg-like design.
Then practice placing basic values and value gradation to describe -- not the details of the features -- but the Big Simple Structures of the whole Head.
(And my apologies, the recording cut off about an inch of the bottom of the screen. We'll have that corrected for next time)

Thank you so much for these videos, Steve! One question, do the subtitles not work since this was done live? Not a huge problem but I canβt get them to turn on, and I watch a lot of these on the subway and itβs very loud so I canβt hear you sometimes during my transit π maybe it is a Patreon thing.
