Wow this is taking longer than I thought.
🕑 Added 2023-01-04 15:29:37 +0000 UTCHi Patrons! Just wanted to provide a brief update on the moving situation. Basically: title. This has been an overwhelming process, not so much in the "packing boxes, and unpacking" territory. More of the "I've never had a house before and need to furnish most of it".
It's been a little over a week and so far, I haven't even gotten to the unpacking because everyday I'm grabbing a necessity from a local store, accepting deliveries, breaking down boxes from those deliveries, having a contractor come in and change a few things here and there, etc.
Although right now, most of that is out of the way (thankfully). You can see in the picture above that the new office is finally coming together slowly. New shelves and new desk, exciting stuff! I *highly* doubt this will be looking good for LTPS this week. But at least it's coming together.

The good old moving extra tasks, hopefully your contractor finish all the details soon, so you can actually unbox your apartment into your new home

Congrats on the move Ryan, was wondering what shelves youβre using, Iβm about to move as well and want to get something nice for my collection ?

Lol. I'm counting down the minutes until I can get a look at your sweet new setup!

I'm not sure I'd be the one to ask as I'm absolutely not a handy-man. I just grab entry level things for the small task I'm doing. Though your experience sounds about right. I just figured it was me not pressing hard enough into the screws so that it slides out of the head easy when spinning.

Does that drill work for you? I bought the same one and it's weak as hell! It just stops spinning right when you're drilling a hole in the 2 x 4 or whatever ya know. No torque!

I spared no expense on things that were gonna help my back pain. So yes, standing desk! Also got an Aeron chair and a new mattress.

Terell has been helping me where he can, which is mostly the heavy lifting lol. But it's coming together!

Thanks! This room was initially carpeted (with the master bath having the LVP flooring) but I had it extended into the rest of the room.

Happy New Year to you as well!

Is that a standing desk? My work has some like that for all of the desks and they really are nice!

I hope that you have a few friends that might be able to assist you. It would certainly cut down on some things. Can't wait to see the house when it is finished.

You got this Ryan! You have all of our support. Side note: those floors are beautiful π

Ah, the joys of moving out! Looks like youβll have a great house once everything is finished, though. Happy new year to you and good luck on the many steps towards unpacking!
