COMIC: Letters From Space Camp page 6
🕑 Added 2024-04-01 05:31:17 +0000 UTCLetters From Space Camp is my memoir about going through a mental hospital program and for my pitch to publishers I am revising the Day Two chapter, which covers my second day in the program. This is my third draft of this chapter, you can read the first draft and second draft to see how it's changed (and it has changed).

This was the page where I really, truly realized that my super-clean-line-cartoony style was not gunna work for this story. You can see it, right?
The vibes are just...
This ain't it, chief.
Since I was redrawing this page anyway, Matt pointed out I should draw the glasses girl actually sitting on the floor. This will become relevant later in the chapter!

This month has been fucking nuts, you guys. I am both proud and disappointed in myself for getting this page up on March 31. Proud because I was worried it wouldn't happen and disappointed because oh my god it's only one page in an entire fucking month. Artists apologizing/being self-deprecating about not updating enough or missing updates is one of my pet peeves (Just don't say anything! Don't draw attention to it!) but I simply cannot stop myself right now. I mean, on the upside, every cell in my body wants to be working on Space Camp and I am happy with how my pages are turning out, so that's good! That's honestly great. I love to feel that way about my comic. Now I just need the rest of my work to chill out so I can return to this one!

Self deprecation I'm good at, taking compliments- not so much. So with that in mind? You are are doing great!
