October Projects Recap
🕑 Added 2023-11-02 17:46:35 +0000 UTCCollages! Road trips! Seed bombs! Unearthing 20-year-old comics! Building a shipping station! Crying on a podcast! Fixing my husband’s ratty old jumper! Yup, October had a lot going on. Here's a recap of all the shit I shared on Patreon, plus a few extra places as well.
What She Knows collages:
Space Camp: Making Pages 15-17 🔒 Patrons Only
For the process nerds out there (I see you), here’s another deep dive down the rabbit hole of how I restructured my Letters From Space Camp comic pages.
Fuck'it and Chuck'it
I gave up on cultivating my flower garden.
Road Trip! A Trip on the Road!
I tricked my friend Clare into flying across the country (from Maryland!) to go on a week-long road trip with me even though I am For Reals A Bad Driver! We went to a 100-year-old shipwreck and a cheese factory, among other places.
Seed Bomb
Our instructor warned us that local law enforcement was known to keep tabs on Portland classes with the word “bomb” in them and also it may not be super duper legal to actually deploy the seed-mud marbles we were making.
Shipping Station 🔒 Patrons Only
Matt built me a whole-ass shipping station in the basement so I can take over fulfilling our friend’s online store orders!
COMIC: The Star Sweeper (2003) 🔒 Patrons Only
Twenty years ago my teenage friends and I adapted a series of fairy tales into our own style for a group anthology zine that we produced on a black and white copier and stapled by hand. Two decades later, here is my sweet little contribution. I’m fond of it.
I also made some short little videos on my Instagram about mending my husband’s jumper with his (stretchy) jeans and transforming my garden beets into dinner.
Slutty Girl Problems AKA Lorrae Jo honored me with an interview on her podcast, The Pleasure Provocateur! We talk about sex and pleasure in general, of course, but I also open up for the first time publicly about my complicated feelings about my own diminishing desire for sex as I glide into middle age. Plus, we talk about our experiences as outpatients in mental health programs. See if you can spot the times I teared up!

Thank you so much to everyone who checks out my various projects here and especially to those who support my work as a patron. I've got some more cool shit to share! I replaced my boot zippers!!! So you know I'm gunna do a whole post about that.
Onward to November Projects!
