New Supporter Pledge Renewal Dates!
🕑 Added 2022-10-01 17:01:02 +0000 UTCI have some exciting news for new supporters and those who are coming back after taking a break. Starting today, October 1st, any new supporter pledges will renew on the day of the month of the original pledge, rather than the first of the month.
This will not affect any current supporters, but it will affect any new pledges, or people who need to stop supporting for a while and come back later.
What this means is that all current supporters will still have their pledges processed on the first of the month like always, but any new support pledges will renew exactly a month later, instead of a charge being processed on sign-up and again on the first.
So if you are ever in a position financially that you need to take a little break from supporting, you can come back at any time of the month without worring about getting charged again before a full month has passed.
For brand new supporters, this means if you, for example, pledge your support on October 20th, you will not see another charge until November 20th, and your support renewal will always be on the 20th of the month.
This was the right thing to do for my beloved supporters, and even though it might result in a small decrease in support, I wanted to take advantage of Patreon's new option to have renwals on the date of the original pledge.
