Sixx finds herself packed snugly into a sturdy box. After minutes of struggling, she manages to tip her container over and pop open the lid, only to sprawl out onto the cold floor of a strange packing facility. Unfortunately, it seems like this moment of "freedom" is fleeting. Let's hope the new box isn't any smaller, at least.
I've had a desire to draw Sixx in some tight spaces kind of recently, and a Christmas piece is certainly a good excuse to do it. Took me a little bit to get the framing down and I had a big debate on how detailed I wanted the background to be. I tried a few things out but none of them really felt good. Backgrounds are definitely something I feel I need to practice but I'd really prefer not to.
Her position in the first box was a little tough to get down to, but I'm pretty happy with it. It feels like there really isn't much wiggle room in there with everything pressed up against the walls. I had a particularly fun time with the hair, which I've been trying to make bigger and fluffier over time. Also, tried out using an additional tone with the shading. Usually I only do one shadow tone and use blending, but I'm actually pretty happy with the look of this method.
