Terada Kirito (20)
Affiliation: 2nd-year university student / member of the soccer club
Personality: Honest and polite. Cheerful and caring toward his peers. Fastidious, with strong self-discipline.
◆ Day 1
In late September, one afternoon’s activity was suddenly canceled due to heavy rain, and everyone quickly went home…
“Could you just put away the equipment?” the captain asked, leaving Kirito alone in the clubroom.
While vacuuming, Kirito discovered something like a black card beneath a wooden bench.
It was a tattoo sticker. On the transparent, thin film were the English words “Apply to clean skin” and a complex geometric pattern.
“…Whose is this, I wonder?”
The next moment, a searing pain like a burn shot through his left wrist.
“Hot!!” he cried out. The tattoo sticker flew up like a bird and wrapped itself tightly around his wrist.
The tattoo sticker seared into his skin like a branding iron, leaving behind a jet-black design. Panicked, Kirito tried to peel it off, but realized with shock that it had fused with his flesh.
