This videos hit so hard. I watched it this morning as I was getting ready for work and was literally in tears. I just had a very quick but intense thing with a guy becoming a preacher that brought back a lot of motions. Growing up in the Deep South, as a cis black girl, overweight, In a very religious environment and also having a mother with an eating disorder. Who intern gave me a eating disorder. I was never taught how to love myself. Only to fix myself. I’m in this place where I just feel so worthless even though I know I am worth so much. I’m so glad you’re here Khadija!
