The Hunt Begins
🕑 Added 2023-10-20 04:11:17 +0000 UTCAs you know hunters for many years these lands have suffered terrible blights and misfortunes, but now more than ever have the people of Nazarun suffered more than now. Howling and terrible shrieks can be heard through the darkest hours of the night coming from the Crook Wood Forest. Cattle and even entire families has gone missing, leaving behind only signs of a horrific and bloody struggle.
Other reports mention citizens at the edge of the city going into a mindless state and walking into the Crook Wood Forest during the day, and are never seen again. Most traveling merchants and supply shipments haven't been making it into the city. Those that do say they are followed by something or someone shambling through the darkness of the woods.
The streets well within our great walls have even become treacherous at night. Reports have come in of citizens being found lifeless in alley ways completely drained of their blood with savage wounds on their necks. Those found are part of the more well wealthy and known to frequent the many parties held by the Barons and Baroness of the city.
The High Priest Aumon has gone missing. Any attempt to contact him in the Tower of Sanctuary has been met with silence. His disappearance was first noticed when a collection of ancient texts were brought in from the Great Libraries of Palldin. Without the High Priest the funeral rites cannot be completed. The bodies are not pilling up though, put are instead going missing. Many of the graves in the cemetery are also being dug up and left empty.
Spirits have been more active in the farmlands and outskirts of the city. Scarecrows have been seen moving and apparitions of the old Sigil Guard has been seen, attacking anyone unlucky enough to be near their path. It is coming upon the anniversary of the great betrayal, perhaps that's why their activity has heightened.
The heart of our grand city, the Grand Cathedral has been locked from the inside. Any that dare touch the door to enter are burned. None have been able to enter to seek guidance and mercy from our Gods. Loud voices singing strange rhythmic hymns can be heard at night, accompanied by ear piercing shrieks. Worst yet hunters, these same behaviors are starting to replicate in the smaller churches and shrines around the city. Have our Gods forsaken us in this most holy city?
Hey everyone! This months set is complete! As I was drawing and planning this set, and most of the none module sets we get to work on, I come up with a story. I decided to share the story with you all for this one. I planned the stet out so that there can be multiple tasks you could have your players tackle. Here's the list show the groups of enemies.

Of course you can craft any type of adventure and use these tokens as you'd like. This is all just what was going on in my head. I hope you all really enjoy this set because I had an absolute blast working on it.
