Adding on another thought additional to what I wrote above, there's a sense of irony to the fact that all Alyssa ever wants is to belong, to be part of something but even in a pop group, where she lives with her members and works with them, she's STILL othered, still left out. Not even in something where teamwork is part of the role does she actually belong. She'll never be able to force herself to fit in no matter how hard she tries (she's yet to really learn and understand that authenticity goes much further, that all this effort pretending and playing her role only drags out the misery 😭) the one place she thought for SURE she would belong, she still doesn't 😭
