Am I the one who thinks this is Alyssa's eye? And maybe IDK her parents? Looks like her dad is hitting someone? But I am not sure what this person sees, but this eye and eyebrow look like Alyssa to me anyway.

EDIT: NOT FIRE! But police sirens!! My random guess is a young Kouske watching some one get smacked? His eyes are just colored the way fire or sunset as thats what he is literally looking at. It reminds me of this one ILY panel I cant forget where iirc Kouske has a protective blanket or something on, and Yui reaches her hand down to him while he seems so meek. Wish I could remember what chapter that was!! The image is held in my head almost as iconically as the image of Rand holding a bloody Nol.

Gah, I thought that was a hand pointing or reaching out to Kousuke at first, then blended with something else, but nope! That's Rand and Nessa. Yui probably led young Kousuke right to them. And he caught them. Red-handed. On his graduation day. Oh my god...Yui is CRUEL. Discovering Rand's affair wasn't bad enough, she forced him to actually see it!!! No wonder he derped right out after picking up the Bible. It probably unblocked this memory he's seeing now.

Oh crud. That's exactly it. Kousuke was probably led to wherever the "meeting" was, and caught Rand and Nessa together. And then he, with or without Yui, went ballistic, but he didn't remember it. Til now. That's why he can't remember Nessa without becoming violent. An angry child scribbles over her face, and angry adult shatters the picture perfect family portrait.
