The very first drawings of the Dudes of Hazmat!
🕑 Added 2022-09-18 03:06:35 +0000 UTCI came across a couple of old notepads where I was still developing the Dudes of Hazmat ideas:
Image 1: Theo was named Fortnum at first, and he was bald. Groves looked a bit more like Rasputin the Mad Monk. There was a small man in a beanie hat, (I dunno who that was). And a clowny version of Rosalita appears to be there.
Image 2: I started getting an idea about all the suits being different primary colors. Groves' look got more refined. Rosalita and her coworker, Aura are present, I knew the first story would involve magic.
Image 3: An idea for Theo to look more like a handsome redneck.
Image 4: Digital drawing. Characters are more fully formed, I started trying out different suit hues against backgrounds. Theo has his toque now. They are ready for adventures!

Haha, Theo as a Snake Plissken or Kid Rock is really opening my eyes. I want to see a Dagwood styled comic of Groves!
