"The British army fights all its battles uphill and usually on the junction of four map sheets." --Viscount Slim

Hilary Kitz

Sometimes this strip rattles a perfect phrase out that lives in my head for ages and todays is definitely Renal Health.

Traedran

"In an age of bingeing our favorite streaming seasons, it may strike you as outdated and even unkind to wait so long between updates." Ah hell naw with this. The worst thing you can do for your pleasures is overindulge and lose your taste forever. I bought Cookbook II. I make Food-Be-Tastey sauce but once per season, just to make sure it remains special. Getting fresh strips on the daily would be nice for a time but would swiftly cause this sacred treasure of a comic to spiral to the ground like so much diatomaceous offal. It's what makes a Roast Beef smile so valuable; because he never has had them as a regular experience.

J Hardy Carroll

get in line

Please tell me that is a deliberate reference to The Mighty Boosh, one of the more achewoodesque television products.

I am interested in dating your mom

Lyle is caught off-guard, because most basses do not have any firearm-type recoil when you play them. He'll need to adopt a wider, more stable stance in order to use this weapon, er, instrument, effectively.

Josh Egbert

The weekly update gives me something to look forward to, which has been in very short supply lately.

J Hardy Carroll

Reading this arc, I feel like I'm wandering around my old elementary school looking for the reasons to retain my fond memories. It's a little like watching my mom get ready for a date, slathering on makeup and asking me "how do I look?" I love my mom, so I tell her she still looks as good as ever!

Don Rowe

When I was in fifth grade, a kid explained during roll call that he was absent the previous day because his father was passing a kidney stone. This is probably the most Nice Pete circumstance I've ever personally encountered.

Jeff Holt

This story arc is completely insane. Also, I like weekly updates of things. My brain can’t handle anything more frequent.

Andrew McClure

*starts rhythmically banging on a desk* Rustmouth! Rustmouth! Rustmouth!

Julie (HiDeeHoGal)

You can see a hint of the boy he might have been had his circumstances afforded him more happiness.

pete’s cheerful little smile at the end is doing some manner of thing for me

GruntyGinMan

Todd just pouting and going "f-fine!" when instructed to gaze upon the Sigil of Madness

GruntyGinMan

even Pete knows renal health is something you don't mess around with

Lionstooth

I totally missed that part on my first read-through. Incredible

Andrew Reynolds

The Sigil of Madness printed on 4 sheets taped together. I can't laugh this hard today.

Marc Harkness

I love the return of Mexican Magical Realism and its possibilities for luthierie.

Julie (HiDeeHoGal)

OK first of all, seaweed nachos? I am gonna wait for a culturally sanctioned time and place and then vomit. Also. WOW!

b.zap

The plot thickens!

Colin Sueyres

Antonyne looks vaguely like Les Claypool.

The verbiage chargeth my humors in this one
