The man has darker tastes. I can tell just by looking at him.
And I’m headed to his den, about to discover exactly how dark he can be.

PRESENTLY…
KANE
⚠️ All characters are 21+ and this is a work of fiction set in a fantasy world. Scenes depict mature fantasies, but all sexual acts are consensual between adults.
Pain muddles my veins.
The walls of this ancient log mansion close in on me. The scent of wood is suffocating and cold.
My wolf calls for warmth…for the warm, tight sex of the omega woman who the gods have crowned as my mate.
I am utterly taken by Rosalie, but my attraction to her is not only physical. I admire how her soul so burns brightly. She is unrestrained by her humble birth. She proved her bravery when she denounced her title as queen and when she hunted down Lyssara.
Rosalie...
I stand at the edge of my bed, hovering over my pillow and staring at my shadow. I can hardly recognize myself…what I’m becoming.
I’m alone in this room with only my deplorable thoughts to keep me company. A blueprint; a plan.
I imagine Rosalie in every corner of this room. Lying on my pillow with her knees parted, belly heaving, and sex dripping. Her scent and slick permeating into the bedsheets, her face pressed into them as she perches her ass up high, asking me to ride her.
“Fuck,” I grit, stripping naked and reaching for my cock.
I glance at the parted door, not caring enough to lock it. This is my home; each log staked to the territory by my ancestors.
I am king. I hide from no one, not even my fantasies.
With my Rosalie in my thoughts, I stroke my fat cock, choking it. The bulging veins that wrap wryly around my length practically spell out Rosalie’s name.
I groan as the balls that I emptied just yesterday for her ache to spill again.
I don’t want to fill another goblet again…I want to spill in her as she moans in approval of my warmth. I want to coat her with my se ed as her eyes stare at me lovingly. Trusting me to put her pleasure above mine; to give her an orgasm fit for a queen. Release that will ripple from her flesh to her bones and into her dreams.
The mere fantasy has me tensing and erupting.
I spill on the sheets, grunting. But the pleasure only lasts for a few moments, as if my body knows it was artificial.
I crave real connection…the real her.
I exhale, hot air blowing from my nostrils.
To think that she’s made me unhinged with just her scent…it is eyebrow-raising. But when I ran into her in the hall and found her bathed in my scent, I was stunned.
I had never in a million dreams imagined that the timid omega would dare to waste my seed for vengeance. But revelled in it; I loved seeing the passion that she tries to cloak. Her spirit was not meant to be smothered.
I walk to my dresser and pull a white t-shirt and boxers on. I can’t leave my bedroom for a couple more hours, because I know that Rosalie’s scent will be haunting the halls and put me into another frenzy.
Hopefully, she thinks to bathe before reporting to my chambers.
I strip the soiled sheets off the bed, tossing them onto the bed right as a soft knock echoes through the door.
Lyssara has never knocked, and servants know not to disturb me when I’m in my quarters. They can smell me.
So this visitor…must be the reason I’m now in need of new sheets.
“Come in.”
Rosalie enters, her head lowered and her scent polluted by soap. She wears a baggy brown, unslighly dress. The skin on her arms is flushed as if she scrubbed anxiously.
“Did you conclude your business this morning?” I ask, stepping over the sheets on the floor as I approach her.
She shrinks away. Although my joints ache, I force myself to keep a distance. I don’t want to corner her.
“Yes,” she whispers. “I’m sorry.”
“Whatever your strife with Lyssara was….I hope it has been settled. You cannot pull reckless moves like that again. I am…”
I wonder how to explain to this omega what it’s like to have a primal, dominant wolf inside me whose will constantly clashes with mine. An animal sees no reasoning; only chasing submission and pleasure.
He wants both from Rosalie, but I am the filter. I am the reason my bones are stiff and hurting as I force myself away from her.
“I am not one to be toyed with.”
This morning's disaster was barely avoided. Had I not thrown myself at the wall...
“I know,” she whispers. “I did not mean to waste…” she rasps.
Your seed.
The poor omega cannot even speak the words.
“There is more where that came from,” I murmur.
Shocked, she looks at me. Revealing those brown eyes as rich as the finest oak tree. She is a beautiful woman, and the contrast between her innocence and bravery adds to her allure.
“But you cannot weaponize me–your king and mate–for your vengeance.”
“I…I know,” she replies as she glances at my discarded sheets. “I will right my wrongs.”
“Yes,” I respond. “You will.”
She shifts her weight from one leg to another, probably assuming the worst of me. She’s right; my wolf has nothing decent in mind. He’s angry that she desecrated his potential pups and has limited ways for redemption.
But I refuse to be a brute to her.
“You will stand beside me when I meet with all the Betas and Alphas and formally recognize you as my queen.”
“But…but I insulted Lyssara–”
“The business between the two of you is none of my concern. I trust your judgement.”
Her gaze falters. She sees the ice that surrounds me.
“Don’t you love her?”
“No.”
“Oh,” she replies, sadness clinging to her tone.
Perhaps disappointment at my cruelty, but it is my truth. I don't love Lyssara. At least not as a lover.
“I will obey, but only under one circumstance.”
My chuckle ripples through the room. I've only known her for two days but the endearing, bold woman never ceases to amaze me.
“You think you’re on grounds to negotiate with me?”
She dips her chin. “If that is what you wish to call it…yes. But this is a request, really.”
I cross my arms over my chest. “And what would you like now, my greedy little mate? I’ve already given you my most prized possession, and you didn’t think twice before ruining it,” I tease.
“I… I apologized for that…”
I nod, encouraging her.
“The southern territories have been bullying omegas by pushing back the territory line. If you could just deal with…”
“Done,” I interject.
I already had plans in the making for this, anyway.
“But I want something in exchange, " I added.
She looks lost. Unable to fathom what she could possibly do for me.
Plenty… my sweet mate. Plenty.
“Alright,” she whispers, entwining her hands together.
“Are you sure you want to agree without knowing what I seek?”
A warning. A way out.
She dips her head again, sealing her fate.
I grin from ear to ear.
