Alpha King Kane part 21

Turning around, I look at her one more time: sitting in the tub, arms wrapped around her legs. She looks small, distraught.
Because there is no escaping the truth.
“Well? What do you have to say to that, little mate?”
PRESENTLY…
ROSALIE
I am humiliated.
Within seconds of settling into the tub, I was lurking over Kane. Belying my fear and intimidation of the powerful werewolf.
My burning curiosity of the mountainous man had me inching closer. Gorging on his body with my eyes–the dusting of hair on his legs, his dark nipples, his bobbing Adam’s apple.
The water was warm, bubbles on the surface popping with every one of his exhales.
I couldn’t help but stare.
Naively, selfishly, recklessly, I leaned in for a closer look.
And I got burnt.
Now, Kane stands in the middle of the room, looking at me with pain in his eyes as his cock and fists are bound tight.
He must feel the same desire that’s curdling my blood.
“It’s late,” I rasp, licking my lips that are still imprinted by his.
I’m eager to escape this tense exchange. The air is charged with frustration. My thoughts are muddled and my cheeks pink with embarrassment.
He remains standing sideways, unashamed of his cock jerking in the air in an erratic rhythm.
I look away from his mountainous frame. For all my curiosity and troubles, I finally got an answer. I finally know what lurks between his thighs.
With heated cheeks, I realize that I would’ve been better off not knowing. Because although Kane’s body is perfectly sculpted with rigid lines on his chest and symmetry across his chiseled body, there is no order or art to his cock. It is an unruly thing. Ugly and cruel, with veins warped around it like vines.
And yet my hunger persists. I am not discouraged by the veins that scream danger at me. Loaded with the blood to fuel it so it can fuck me for hours.
Just like the lake which I would continuously trespass to swim in…chasing the danger and the thrill of getting away with it…I feel the same urge for this Alpha.
And I don’t understand it. I can’t blame the mate bond for my attraction, because I’ve always been eager to break the rules and reach for what’s forbidden.
“Yes, it is late,” he responds.
Green eyes dark, intentions unspoken.
He kissed me and then pulled away like I burned him. And yet he prepared this candle-lit room, the ambiance romantic and suspenseful. I don’t know what he was expecting. I don’t know what he wants.
The truth remains that I was not looking for intimacy. I’m not ready to get so entangled with the man. I can hardly think straight while he’s in the same room as me so I cannot fathom what I’d be like with him inside of me.
“I hope you found what you were seeking,” adds Kane.
Oh, goddess, yes I did. I certainly found the cursed-yet-blessed cock hidden under the bubbles.
Blushing, I wrap my arms tighter around my chest.
Hearing Kane grunt, I realize that I’ve made my cleavage starker.
I sink deeper into the water in mortification, but there is not much water left in the tub since Kane spilled it everywhere in his rush to escape.
He looks away, grunting, and disappears into an adjoining room. I hear clothes ruffling and metal hangers scraping.
I look around desperately. Spotting towels atop a nearby table, I rise from the tub and dry myself quickly, jumping into my clothes discarded on the floor.
Now dressed, I wring the towel in my hands and will myself to stop biting my bottom lip.
It’s fucking impossible. I keep recalling the warmth of his lips, the rough stubble of his face, and his huffed breath.
Kane emerges into the room only wearing black shorts. He runs a hand through his ruffled dark hair, unaware that the way his bicep flexes has my toes curling.
He tosses a grey cloth, taking me by surprise. I examine it. It’s a t-shirt. My night gown, I suppose.
He walks around the room and exhausts every candle, the room darkening with every blow of his lips. The sound is sensual, and I swear I feel a gust of air blow down my back.
With the room submerged in darkness, he walks to the windows and opens them one by one.
I can’t understand why. It’s raining. The furniture and linens will be soaked by the moisture.
“Well?” He asks, voice rippling though the darkness.
I hear his heavy footsteps but cannot tell his direction.
“Come to bed. And I better not find you peering down my underwear while I’m asleep, or I won’t hold myself accountable for what happens next.”
Dear Moon Goddess, spare me.
I hear the bed groan under his weight.
Spinning around, I quickly undress. The smell of exhausted candles and rain mix in the air. Scents I would consider soothing, if not for the apex predator in the room.
I set my clothes atop the remaining towel, struggling through the darkness as I make my way to the bed.
I’m going to lay beside the Alpha King. A man I’ve never thought much of, considering him unreachable.
But here I am in his clothes, in his bed, my taste on his lips.
I slip under the covers, finding the bed cold and the pillow fluffed. Thoughts of Lyssara haunt me.
Is this her pillow or Was it replaced?
“In the morning, I will have someone come and prepare you for your introduction to my committee. There are powerful family trees of Alphas and Betas you must learn. There is also the matter of etiquette. As Luna, you must bow to no one.”
I flatten my clammy hands on my belly, feeling the luxurious material of the shirt.
“I’ll do my best,” I whisper.
Silence ensues. I feel the mist of water droplets. Come morning, the room will be ruined.
I can’t help but question this.
“Why…why did you open all the windows?”
“Because I can scent your wet pussy calling for my tongue.”
My eyes widen, and I cough violently.
That’s what I get for questioning the man who is clearly at his wits’ end.
I squish my thighs together, and yet I know this won’t help tame my scent much.
We are in for a long, long night.

Having only slept two hours that night, dreaming of forests and lakes and leering wolves, I awaken to a knock at the door.
“Good morning, Alpha. There seems to be…a commotion at the territory line.”
“Is it Lyssara again?” Grunts Kane.
“No. The Lun—um, she has already cleared the territory. It’s an Alpha. He’s demanding entry.”
“Demanding?”
“Yes. Shall I send word?”
“No. Let him fucking wait. I won’t be rushed. What of the ceremony preparations? Have they all been entirely dismantled?”
There’s a long pause. “My King, I beg you to reconsider. The Alp—“
“I don’t want to hear it. Let him pace and scowl all day. I’ve not summoned any Alpha, and I’ll be damned before they summon me. I am a fucking king.”
“But—but he alleges that…” the woman’s breath hitches.
I listen avidly as I cower under the sheets.
“That Luna Rosalie is his mate.”
I sit up, throwing the sheets off me, right as Kane shifts and goes berserk.
A/N: oh ohhh does Rosalie have 2 mates? What’s going on?
Someone bring the elephant tranquilizer because Kane is gonna loooseee it
