An update.
🕑 Added 2021-06-05 02:24:46 +0000 UTCAt this point I am fairly certain that Patreon is not paying out the correct amount. Over the past few months, I had a suspicion that is the case, but I am not certain, due mostly to the very messy way that Patreon calculate their payout. However, thanks to Lady D this month, I think I can be fairly certain now.
Last month of May has seen an increase in pledges of almost $500 in monthly pledge, and a little over $200 in yearly pledge. Despite this, the payout amount is actually lower then April by over $100. This figure is very suspicious to me.
I have reached out to Patreon by their supporter system, and am currently awaiting their answer. I am hoping that its either something I overlooked, or something that is easily fixed, as most of my supporters are here. However, if that is not the case, I will most likely want to go to another, more honest platform. This post is to keep you updated, as well as to give you guys a heads up.

That's how I've always done it. Certainly cuts out that particular middle man.

I am thinking of reworking my commission system a little. Maybe have all commissions pay via paypal. Patreon would only be for early access only. This way any issues should be minimized.

That is unsettling. I haven't noticed anything like that with my payouts, but I'll keep an eye out. That being said, Jester makes some good points about them being unreliable. They built their base on adult content makers then turned their backs on them once they reached a certain point. But leaving Patreon would almost certainly be a large drop in financial support. Sigh. I keep hoping that SS will gain more traction.
I agree. Same here. And I am really sorry that Shinteo has to put up with this behavior from the platform. I can imagine that the Patreons will not appreciate the handling of their pledged mony too. I certainly do not!

I have spoken to some people on discord, and it seems people have a high level of trust here on patreon, and would not be willing to move. I am not sure what is the best way to solve this issue. There are also those who had pledge for an entire year already, that would have to be taken into consideration as well... I'll have to see what the Patreon support says, though from past interaction, they are basically useless, as they only seems to know how to give the standard coporate speak.

i used patreon for quite awhile so i have some experience in this, it does take awhile for payout to go thru, declines and approvals and all that. but in my honest opinion i suggest you leave patreon, they are constantly changing their policies and i fear they may come after you just like they treat the 18+ patrons who are trying to make a honest living, but since its an expression of art that is niche, they are looked down upon. just my opinion. keep up the good work, love your models!
