I think I figured out a way to keep default rigging and mix it with the transfered Daz rig. The coat does not have dforce on it, as there are additional stitching mesh on it that will drop off if dforce is applied. It does have the original rig for the flaps though.

Fixed the coat. The shirt has two hole on the chest area that is deliberate, I think, at least from what I can see on the mesh.

The coat is coming up as unsupported for both G8 and 8.1 (though it seems to fit OK). There also seems to be some poke-through and mesh distortion on the shirt in the bust and upper chest area.
