Reading Lunar Phases’ next chapter is primed and ready to launch on July 5th, at 0700 EST on the dot. LP II ch 4 is cruising along so much smoother than the last chapter, and should be out by the end of the month. I think it’s the season, something about this mid-year hurtle boosts endorphins or something in my noodle.
Furthermore, I found another Earworm excerpt that you all get to enjoy today! (Kazoo sfx)
It’s a very, very short snippet, unrelated to the last, but then, I wrote these on whims as japes, gags, goofs, etc. and so on. If you guys see a canonical or chronological pattern, well, cool! Share it with the class, or don’t! I’m gonna go sunbathe now, enjoy the summer!

“Babe, what the f—k are you three watching?” Loona – disguised as a human –poked her head into the room where her boyfriend, their puppy (who was also disguised to look like a young human child; surprisingly not as ugly as the last human kids she she had the misfortune to meet or see) and his doppelgänger were watching TV. She was playing ‘host’ with the other travelled that crashed their family of three getaway and trying to wrap her head around the shitty situation they were in.
“Oh, for–Whiskers, why?! It’s bad enough I saw this stupid show, that is a literal child!” The “demigod” girlfriend of Loona’s boyfriend’s inter-dimensional doppelgänger – and wasn’t that a headache and a half; outside of their scents, the only thing that kept them from being twins was her boyfriend being a solid head and a half-foot taller than the ‘visitor’ – groaned.
“Paranoia Agent is a brilliant show, Tree Girl,” the aforementioned ‘Whiskers’ – what a f–kin stupid nickname, he wore a face mask, why did she call him whiskers? – refuted with a blasé wave of his hand. He gestured at Naruto. “Besides, they’re literal Demons from Hell. They’ve probably got something much worse to show her for a cartoon.”
Naruto opened his mouth to argue the point, closed it, and then looked at the ‘demigod’ almost apologetically. He shrugged, to add emphasis to his defeat.
“I mean, he’s not wrong.”
Understatement. Loona had seen that Adventures of Queen Bee and Friends that her Heema was enamored with. Especially that stupid, Satan-damned RoboBee sexbot thing. Loona’s eye twitched as she thought about it.
“I like the guy with the golden bat. Daddy, can we go rollerbatting?” Heema asked, looking at Naruto with that still stupidly effective puppy eye pout. He tried to hold strong – seven seconds, a new record – before he let out a resigned sigh.
“Maybe later, Pickle.”
“Yaaay! Other Daddy, Momma and Miss Lia are coming too!”
“Hey, wait, no, I didn’t agree to that!” Loona frowned. And then she was besotted with the damned puppy eye pout.
Satan dammit.
